Craftsmanship:

Taking The Time To Do It Right
Northwest Fine Woodworking sells furniture that is created by individuals, not factory assembly lines. Many technical woodworking tasks are performed by machine, but some jobs are still best completed by hand.

Each craftsman designs and crafts their furniture down to the last detail. Years of learning the craft, whether through professional schooling or by apprenticing with master craftsperson, comes together in the meticulous creation of our furniture. When you buy furniture from Northwest Fine Woodworking, you will be able to say that you know the name of the person who made it.

Perfect Joinery And Finish
For joinery that is to last a lifetime, boards must be precisely milled and fitted. The finish on a piece of furniture not only brings out the hidden beauty of the wood, but also protects it. Our craftspeople use many time honored techniques, such as dovetailing and hand rubbed oil finishes in their work, but they also embrace more modern applications, such as the tough catalyzed lacquer finish often used for the top of dining tables. Care for each piece is as individualized as the person who created it, and this knowledge is shared with the customer who purchases the piece.
