The Non Member Furniture Jury At Northwest Fine Woodworking

Items created by Non members who show
at Northwest Fine Woodworking.

At NWFW we also showcase furniture made by artisans who are not members of our cooperative. For non member furniture to be accepted in to our gallery it must be evaluated by our woodworking jury.

Next Jury is April 8th, 2009

If interested in showing your work with us please contact us for more information.

To be included in this jury, please call (206) 625-0542 by March 13th, 2009 to be added to the list, and be prepared to email us good quality photos of the item to be reviewed. Completely fill out a Jury Application Form for each piece. Please request a Nonmember Contract if you do not have one already on file. We cannot exhibit work of any artist without a signed contract on file.

  • To be part of the jury, each piece must be pre approved by our floor manager. Due to space constraints and the popularity of the jury event, it is essential that you contact us with photographs and complete specs prior to the event.
  • The floor manager will confirm with all jury candidates a week prior to the jury.
  • All items must be brought to the gallery on the day of the jury to be reviewed by our member jury committee in person. Each piece submitted must be accompanied by the completed, appropriate paperwork.
  • On the day of the jury, pre approved work must be dropped off at the gallery between 10 and 11am. Any items that are not accepted, or if space is not available, must be picked up from the gallery on the same day as the jury.
  • Floor space is at a premium at Northwest Fine Woodworking. It is much easier for us to accept furniture with a smaller footprint for immediate display than to accept larger items. It is also recommend that you do no submit more than 2 items at a time for the jury.
  • Due to the costs associated with transporting furniture, we rarely accept pieces from those who reside outside of the Pacific Northwest or from artists who cannot easily deliver or pick up their work in person.

We do not accept; "rustic" or unfinished furniture, chainsaw sculpture, antiques, imported items or items from countries outside of the USA or Canada, mass produced or factory made items, items of poor quality or construction, items of poor design or function, or items obtained or created through illegal means (copyright violation etc.). Please, only submit work that you yourself have created.
